I'm not sure it was ever an especially good term. It's one of those words that just sounds stupid, y'know? Kinda like "adorbs".

Um, so they're not even claiming to be a man, but rather non-binary, and they when as far as getting a phalloplasty? What kind of surgeon could conscientiously perform that and think what they're doing is helping anyone? Can we speed up the lawsuits please?

ETA: This person is terrible PR for a phalloplasty (not to say that any such example is positive PR). Her post history talks about some pretty gnarly complications including developing a fistula and peeing through her vagina. A crime against humanity. Her post history also makes clear that this is absolutely a fetish for her.

The claim is that the neophallus is indistinguishable from the real thing.

I've seen enough real penis to know how laughably impossible this is. If you haven't seen this person's posting of the neophallus, I really encourage you to have a look and report back if you really think it looks anything like the real thing.

Just looked through her post history and it's a mess. Many of the pictures seem to be of different people, or at least different genitals. She posts a lot on porn subreddits. Can't wrap my head around the pictures of her body covered in Frankenstein scars, a freakish looking arm and discolored appendage that looks like it might come off if someone pulls too hard, and the comments calling that 'transition goals'. WTF.
