I don't understand why some people gay or queer wear the pink triangle, as well as the black triangle on the lesbian flag. It should be kept in a museum to memorialize the past, it's not a badge to be worn proudly. I'm a descendant of holocaust survivors and wouldn't ever ever dream of wearing a yellow star. It's a symbol of oppression. They're no longer alive now but if I showed up to my great-grandparents house wearing any sort of Holocaust imagery they'd had a panic attack. My great-grandmother purposely forgot how to speak German because she didn't want any reminder of the past.

The same goes for those "punks" who wear a crossed out swastika symbol. It's the definition of performate because they don't care about how it affects Holocaust survivors. Whenever I encounter it my brain registers the swastika first. I can roll my eyes and just go on with my day but there's holocaust survivors still around who would have a PTSD attack from it.
