    100% this. The only reason I can fathom that that the TQ+ is so in love with Marxism is that they’ve never read Marx. He would’ve shit a brick over people denying material reality and putting their time and resources to to cosmetic, personal use.

    There is this bizarre thing in America (maybe other western countries too?) where people idolize the Soviet Union and trivialize its flaws. In some circles, it gets treated as a good thing where nothing was that bad. I really don’t understand how the people that do this can’t understand that it was actually responsible for some of the worst human rights violations, horrifying environmental disasters, and was an even deeper nightmare for non-Russians.

    The only people who proudly call them selves communists or marxists these days either have no fucking clue about history and are just broadcasting their stupidity, or they have no issues with at least 160 million deaths and are broadcasting they are sociopaths.

    Either way, I avoid them at all costs.

    I'm a bi woman and have to agree they're sociopaths and poorly educated. Everyday the American sociopathic tras talk and fetishize Canadian health care like it's eden before the bite of the 🍎 and as someone who's lived Canadian health care? It's not this rainbow Drenched paradise you want to think it is. If you go to emergency you might langish for hours while waiting for care. We also in Ontario are facing a family doctor shortage I myself am very lucky my mom and I are affiliated with the university or we'd have no doctor. I've been gas lit horribly once over my breast infections. And during covid we lost a very good friend of the family to treatable cancer because of a: doctor shortages and b: the whinging of trans people. I don't get it either. Socialism, and communism even in true form have never worked. Yes they argue China but despite their barbaric social credit score China is still semi capitalism just with communist undertones.
