This is why decisions should be decided by legislators, not voters. Most people are easily influenced by the media and don’t bother do research on certain issues before voting on these issues. Most people don’t even read the constitutions of their own countries.

To be honest, I’m against universal suffrage, but it shouldn’t be based on sex. I believe that in order to be eligible to vote, a person should be over 30, a net contributor to the economy, not be a duel citizen, and pass two exams by at least 60%, one on history and the other on the constitution. Whether that person is male or female shouldn’t matter. But I don’t agree with people who don’t understand their country’s legal system voting in elections or referendums. Though in my opinion, referendums should be non-binding.
