I'm honestly not sure what they want. They aren't oppressed. Blind acceptance shouldn't happen because lack of interest in sex can happen due to medical conditions like depression or low testosterone. A doctor who just checked off the asexual box as the reason for it without question would be negligent.

Wonder why? I'd think older gay men would be more immune to the gender woo considering the shit most gay men had to deal with coming out pre-2010s (and still do).

My theory is that most older gay men don’t go on Reddit, either because they’re not familiar with it or social media in general, or because they think know that most people on Reddit are mentally challenged and want nothing to do with the site.

There are some subs I visit but nothing to do with gays or LGB(tq) issues. Mostly TiA, SJiA, and few other small subs.

I assume that anyone who announces that they're asexual is a poser.

I've known a few asexuals over the years. Two of them didn't even know that there was a word for it. They didn't need one. They just went about their lives not having sex.

The only reason I can think of that we'd need asexual awareness is because TQ believe that words can mean anything so there's like a dozen flavors of asexual now, and half of them enjoy having sex.

I mean, asexuality is a real thing. Unfortunately, it's also been colonized by people in the TQ+ movement, so the odds of this person actually being asexual are pretty low.
