Took at look at the first one-- what the hell?! How is that supposed to be an argument in favor of gender identity beliefs? Hahaha

The second one, from the description, sounds very vague but also more benign.

The second I came across in a bookshop and at face value, it seems like it's just a book about inclusivity in general, but the way it goes on about how these dogs are terrible and exclusionary for not accepting a rabbit even though the rabbit does dog things, behaves like a dog and 'feels like a dog inside', it feels like a trans metaphor.

That's a fair point. In a different world it might just be an interesting thought experiment, but the proliferation of these types of books is most likely related to the topic-related popular ideology that is currently sweeping many parts of the globe.
