I wonder what these gender weirdos would say about my own childhood, where I was sort of a tomboy who was into odd things like bug collecting and climbed trees and explored the woods but hated pants and wanted to wear dresses all the time.

BuzzFeed: "Here's 15 reasons why Scout Finch was actually trans"

I'm a girl tho, so I wasn't GNC in terms of dress (I had a really intense pink sparkly princess phase) but was gnc in terms of my interests.

Yeah, that's definitely pretty rare, but good on you for pursuing your interests!

Gross. All the reviews (not many, really, it doesn't seem to be very popular) from people saying they read it to their kids to explain 'gender'.

This one is probably the most insidious:

Brenda is a sheep

It's about a wolf in sheep's clothing, and the sheep know it's a threat but don't want to hurt it's feelings so they accept him anyway.

This one is also pretty bad too: This is a Dog Book!

Took at look at the first one-- what the hell?! How is that supposed to be an argument in favor of gender identity beliefs? Hahaha

The second one, from the description, sounds very vague but also more benign.

The second I came across in a bookshop and at face value, it seems like it's just a book about inclusivity in general, but the way it goes on about how these dogs are terrible and exclusionary for not accepting a rabbit even though the rabbit does dog things, behaves like a dog and 'feels like a dog inside', it feels like a trans metaphor.

That's a fair point. In a different world it might just be an interesting thought experiment, but the proliferation of these types of books is most likely related to the topic-related popular ideology that is currently sweeping many parts of the globe.

Brenda is a sheep ... about a wolf in sheep's clothing, and the sheep know it's a threat but don't want to hurt it's feelings so they accept him anyway.
