This happens alot with FtMs: they want to have their cake and eat it too.

When it's convenient to them (when they claim to be gay men and want their precious pronouns respected), they'll be all for being recognized as the opposite sex, but when it's not (losing access to women's spaces, having to go to male prison, being acussed of male privilege, competing on male's sports), it's girl mode go.

It's pure cognitive dissonance.

Does anyone else find it kind of funny in a horrible way? Actual effeminate men and butch women get constantly harassed by the gender crowd about being trans in denial and "eggs", yet chicks like this and sporty dudes with full beards calling themselves women have to be accepted without question. Because for all of the pomp and noise about validating identities of every trans and missing-link in the "queer" spectrum, at the end of the day- their sexual orientation and gender expression conforms to the mainstream expectations of their sex.

Advocating for trans just allows the appearance of open-minded progressivism that can give one a higher social credit score and political kudos without actually progressing anything, but instead regressing things by several decades. It's easier to do, and you don't have to put in the hard work to actually change people's minds. Just re-affirm their existing views about sexuality and gender expression in a "novel", quirky way.

This is why some virtue signalers can react so acutely when you threaten to take that kudos away and then some by gently reminding them of biological reality after they already locked in their stance on trans.
