This is what gets me:

Debbie Hayton, a trans person and campaigner, warned that the proposal could have unforeseen consequences.

She told Holyrood: “The proliferation of pronouns is also unhelpful to trans people whose goal is to get on with life despite being trans. For trans people in the closet, they [pronouns] are excruciating.

"We have the choice of highlighting the very pronouns that are causing our dysphoria, or outing ourselves on the spot. Meanwhile, for those who have transitioned and moved on, pronouns are a reminder of the stress that should have been left behind.”

Many of us that are opposed to putting our pronouns everywhere have brought up this exact same point. TRAs are asking everyone to put their pronouns in their bios in order to "normalize" it. So, if they achieve that goal, what happens with trans people? If you have someone that looks like a man but puts "she/her" in their e-mail signature, then that person is having to out themselves as trans even though they might not have wanted to do that. If that person puts "he/him" in their e-mail signature, then they're having to broadcast pronouns that they don't feel describe them and that might make their dysphoria worse. And really, isn't the goal to be seen as whatever you're transitioning to? If I'm a trans woman and someone is telling me, "Put 'she/her' in your bio so people know you're a woman!" then my thoughts would be, 'Are you saying I obviously don't pass and look like a man? Dick move.'

I really see no upside to trans people putting pronouns in their bios or for regular people putting pronouns in their bios. (The only exception being if you have a gender-neutral name and want to make sure that people know that you are a woman or a man, since you really can't tell that just from e-mail.)

This just goes to show that all of the pronoun bullshit is just from a bunch of narcissists that aren't actually affected in any way by the shit they're trying to pull.
