It’s a nice, sunny day in Ireland, which is a rare occurrence. Me, my mom, my brother and my brother's girlfriend grabbed folding chairs from the garage and spent most of the day sitting on the patio of our backgarden. I also went for a walk around the suburbs of my town to get some fresh air and enjoy the sun. I hope it stays like this for the next two weeks. My town has a lake, but too many people go there and I’m not an extrovert. I wish I had an outdoor pool to soak myself in.

It's a beautiful day across the Irish sea as well, but slightly too hot for my taste. I walked to get something to eat at my favourite local café and realised only when I was at the counter that I had forgotten my wallet. Cue sweaty walk of shame back to the house.

I hate when I forget my wallet. Thankfully it almost never happens to me, because I’m always obsessively compulsively checking my pockets to see if I have my wallet, keys, phone and mask. And yes, it’s hot as hell here. Can’t wait until we stop wearing masks because they suck, including in this heat.

I'll be driving down the road in my car, put my hand on my right thigh, and be like... oh god, where are my keys?!

My colleague was like this, always leaving his keys and phone in random places on work sites and then panicking when he realised his pockets were empty lol.

After three months I started picking up his things and putting them in my pockets. Any time I saw him pat his thigh with that blank look on his face I'd wordlessly hand him his phone or keys. He once told me he lost his phone in a well. He just left it on the edge and it fell. 30m deep. I'm pretty sure I saved his phone several times from a pretty grim death.

He's now retired and happily cycling across the country. With his phone and keys I hope.

That would suck.
