I wish pride month would just go away. We don’t need a pride month, we need rules and legislations protecting us from discrimination.

It annoys me. There should be no pride month at all. One day is enough - and even then, we don’t need a day dedicated to ourselves. Pride just an opportunity for straight middle class youths and multinational or globalist corporations to virtue signal.

What we do need is to be left alone, to have our relationships recognised by society, to not be discriminated against and for people to respect that we’re homo/bisexual and not try to change us.

The right to marry and anti-discrimination laws for non-religious organizations (employers, housing) over a certain size (I excuse smaller organizations because I believe strongly in the right to self-determine who you associate with).

That's all we need.

Yes, small businesses should be exempt from non discrimination laws. Not just because freedom of association, but also because such businesses are easy to compete against.

Agreed. One day is enough.

Pride Month has nothing to do with us. If anything it's a propaganda effort by businesses and governments to keep us complacent and docile.

We will not become normal members of society if we’re paraded around as shockingly different for a whole month. Being treated as equals is all I wanted during the pain of growing up. If the TQ+ want to keep pushing the envelope then go ahead but at least give us the option to have a separate day or opt out.

Hate it. Does it have to be a whole month?

No it doesn't. It could be longer, seems like Canada is going to make it an entire season. Pride Summer.

I think Pride month is a very good way of making the overage person who faces struggles like poverty to resent LGBTs .

It's more than just people struggling on poverty, it regular everyday people. Some people just want to live their life and watch their favourite sport or TV program without all the preaching. Maybe they were fine with it to begin with but it gets to be over the top when it seems to be everywhere.

This is also a very good point.

Hate it. Get rid of it.

Does any other group get a month or anything close?

I have a special fondness for Native Americans because I used to spend summers on the reservations - Americans are squatting on Native American land, after treating them beyond atrociously, so where's their month?

I cringe now when I see the rainbow, and I fought hard for gay rights.
