Perhaps a straight man has once fantasized about a trans woman without knowing their status. But that would be because of the assumption that the person in question was, in fact, biologically female. If the man loses their attraction upon learning their status, then that would mean the man is exclusively attracted to non-trans women, and not trans women. Therefore, the "SuperStraight" classification holds.

Writing "FACT", makes things absolutely true, people. Any bullshit fantasy that you want to pass off as incontrovertible, just write "FACT". These people really want to believe straight guys can't tell the difference and are unknowingly lusting after trans women all the time. Maybe in an altered and filtered photo, but nuh-uh, clocking accurately IRL takes about 2 seconds.

They bounce this around their little echo chambers because it makes them feel better about themselves, but 99.9999% of transwomen will NEVER pass. And even the few who do, if you know how and where to look? You still know.

I spent quite a bit of time in countries where gay men were either forced or encouraged to transition and I can always tell.

Superstraight did have a lot of "straight pride" nonsense vibes but the core of the concept holds. Straight dudes losing their attraction to passing trans women after finding out they're male is how sexual orientation works. There was a similar post on AGB from a gay man asking if he was transphobic for initially being attracted to a passing trans man who didn't disclose trans status, only for that attraction to disappear when the clothes came off.

theyre not always wrong. sometimes the problem is gays and lesbians and mostly bisexuals. We're causing this perception by accepting their premise: "YES, I BELIEVE YOU ARE A WOMAN BUUUUUUUT I PREFER A CERTAIN TYPE OF GENITALS". We are literally 100000% lying to their faces and basically saying we're "genital fetishists". There isnt a single person who sees them that way but we're basically saying we see them as women BUT we're just sex freaks obsessed with genitals.

I agree that SuperStraight is complete bullshit. One of the most annoying "movements" I've heard of. But the other part is bullshit, although some dudes are duped by "trans women" (irl and online) because they're looking at tits and ass, not looking for Adam's apples and dick bulges.

Talk Show hosts in the 90s used to have people guess if someone was male or female... https://youtu.be/ZcdZM0jqiL4 ... people were typically dumbfounded.

It's unnecessary and distracting.

When singer Ginuwine was on Celebrity Big Brother, he was criticized for saying he wouldn't date a trans woman, but the shit quickly blew over because 99% of straight people feel the same way. But we LGB folks aren't at 99%... many TRAs are LGB folks who do date trans folks and criticize us for excluding trans folks. Straight people don't have to go through this type of infighting.

You don't think the superstraight movement has shed a light on the lgbt infighting?

I can't think up the fancy words for this but they're always trying to weasel their way into some "attractive" status via some in-group sociowhatever analysis and it's like honey, maybe some individuals but not you. Yea Thai ladyboys maybe pull it off but wtf does that have to with your big western ogre ass specifically? Attraction doesn't work on a group or class level like that lol.

Attraction is inherently exclusive. Simple as that.

I've been infatuated by people with really ugly personality traits before, so that point is moot. Once I know these things, a relationship and consequently sex is off the table. And that's assuming that, for the sake of argument, a significant number trans people pass with their clothes on. I won't even entertain the argument that trans women look like women with their clothes off. We all know that they don't.

If you are attract to someone at first glance because you mistook their sex, that's not much different in concept from being attracted to a store dummy before you realize it's just plastic.
