Society was homophobic, and still is. We have achieved rights and / place in society, but what mother or father wants their children to be gay or lesbian? What straight person prefers thier neighbour to be gay?

Will second this... I think that's still a very popular view-- "I'm ok with gay people, I just don't want my child (or other family members) to be gay."

I do think that there are a few billionaires who spread homophobia far and wide because of their actions-- but not in a shadowy way, it's not like pharmaceutical companies are sitting there with a secret list of protocols on how to trans the gay away, they are just in it for the money. But, billionaires who recognize that LGB kids are more likely to medically transition...? Sounds like a profitable business strategy, to target those most likely to transition with messages about transitioning, and purge any anti-medicalization stories and posts from the social media and news sites that they own.
