I just want to add that Helen is especially concerned about the effect of this movement on young LGB kids. I think she said her peak trans moment that got her involved in speaking out against gender ideology was when it suddenly dawned on her that this movement is “sterilizing gay kids.” Obviously we are all personally invested in that aspect of this movement, but it is very helpful to have someone of Helen’s stature take that up as a call to action though she is not gay herself.

I am really hoping she focuses on the ideological and financial capture of the former gay rights orgs as well as the conflicting interests between same sex rights and gender ideology. This schism is essential to breaking the spell over the public and would allow us to be more vocal about our concerns and experiences. Because right now, people assume if I’m gay that I support this shit and actually expect me to pat them on the back for their good allyship. 🤮

I just wrote to a senator to try and highlight the difference between gay rights & trans activism.

Fantastic! I would love to know if there's a response.

I would call and call again until you can talk to a live Congressional staffer, because a lot of times letters just go into a for/against tally and they don't read them past that.
