Hey Gatitio. How much of that do you think is part of an autosexual fetish for being aggressive? Just asking because 1. I'm not a man and 2. the men in prison tend to be a lot more aggressive than the men outside (usually that's how they got in). Ofc I don't expect you to understand how all men think, but I'd like to hear your perspective. Anyways, I see you around and always appreciate your input.

Certainly in the case of prison there is a selection bias, and perhaps trying to generalize, or insinuate that it can be generalized, to all men isn't a smart move on my behalf. The next example that pops into my head is child molestation not motivated by pedophilia, where the "good enough" aspect plays a role in a similar fashion to prison--deprivation of preferred sexual partners, but it is precisely these sorts of anti-social men with impulse control and drug abuse issues that wind up in prison, so that's conflated. I could look into especially historical accounts of homosexual behaviour among sailors, but I as of yet only have heard of that in passing, believe there to be a phenomena there, but have not yet tried to fathom that.

Autosexual fetish for aggression... I read auto to mean they are aroused at some trait of themselves, in this case aggression. Or that aggression on their behalf is required for arousal/sexual interests. Hm. Well I would say that I have read others speculating that outwardly-cool (I'm searching for the right word and failing) men can be emotionally vulnerable with regards to their sexuality. Which that statement seems a little off, since men are generally perceived to be rather emotionally tepid in terms of intimacy, but if that's re-framed as a defense mechanism and not the natural case... The socially-moderated concept of masculinity and male sexuality are so very intertwined. Heterosexual men won't be caught dead sipping a Tequila Sunrise, because that mean that they are gay. Men with a fondness of cats, and not dogs are perceived in modernity to be less desirable, less masculine. There was a study of that on dating site photos. In ages past, it was an "established fact" that a man who liked cats was a "gender invert," i.e. a homosexual.

If I misunderstood the question, feel free to poke me.

Thanks for the appreciation.

I appreciate your answer, and I'll think more on what you said.
