Tim Dillon serves mostly a right wing and right of center audience who like him. He's not for gay people but i feel like what a lot of gay and lesbian activists miss out on is that conservative gays and lesbians tend to do far more for progressing gay rights within conservative spaces by showing "normal" conservative gays who agree with them. One of the most detrimental parts of gay culture is that we do have a cosmopolitan identity thats global and we try to hang on to it. But we eventually have to let go of it if we want to assimilate. We have to allow for gay ISIS members, gay KKK, gay black panters and black supremacists, gay chinese racist supremacists. It's just extremely hard letting go of a global shared gay/lesbian identity. So there's a struggle because sometimes it feels like we're a race born within another race and it's sometimes nice but then you get a shit show of crazed transexuals trying to hijack your community and the global gay identity is being ruined.

This exactly it. Drop the cosmopolitan requirements for being same sex attracted, and allow homosexuals and bisexuals to form our own ideas. We do have to allow people who are racist, yes, but we can also allow gays, lesbians and bisexuals who are libertarian, GLB people who are nationalist and GLB who are conspiracy theorists - will, we have a lot of them already, such as TRAs for instance.

I don't know who they are. Just looked them up on YouTube... one of the top videos with Katie Herzog is called "shattering the white fragility myth"... lmao definitely not going to listen to her.

What would you say makes Tim not for gay people? Where did he "cross the line" in your opinion? I don't think he's an archconservative but just opposed to the Blue Check/Pink News Twitter gays.

I'm just going to sound like a condescending asshole when i speak and you wont really understand it but gay/lesbian culture evolved around enlightenment european culture and we sort of expect every gay and lesbian to assimilate around that. I think most people's understanding of gay culture is giant wigs, rainbows and "fun"?? But our culture is very intimately tied to european enlightenment culture. It's our heritage and our obligation to perpetuate it. And we have cultural "allies" which are usually straight people who are part of that culture as well since theyre the ones who mostly created it. It gave us our rights and so did the heterosexuals who helped us. You have to admit even if you're straight that type of culture does greatly help gays. There are a disproportionate amount of gays and lesbians as professors and thats without the help of affirmative action to the point where you can hear ethnic minorities start grumbling against homosexuals in "higher learning". Now that it's muddled up with all this affirmative action bullshit, the people who whine the most and claim theyre oppressed get to be professors but "back in the day", it was brutal scholastic excellence.

He's sympathetic to the conservative, heterosexual men as he should be. Their disgust and anger is just. But he indulges their views which tend to be highly distorted and wrong. It's like if godzilla emerged near texas and started approaching texas to kill everyone. The "twitter stooges" would say "godzilla isnt real and who cares because conservatives are assholes who lie about everything" but the conservatives have their own narratives which are lies like "gays caused godzilla to emerge from the sea with all their stupid gayness! the solution is to feed the gays to godzilla!" lol Their problems are very real, but their solutions are a disaster.

I've watched some of his shows on youtube. he's definitely funny but doesnt seem to understand A LOT of liberals squirm in pain, in disgust at hillary clinton. They hate her guts and find her vile but still willingly voted for her but he misses points like that and make it seem like we're all jumping up and down for her. So he makes it seem like we're a cult of liberals. I mean, just look at me; a gay liberal atheist on saidit complaining about transexual jackasses hijacking our movement.

And Pink News Twitter gays have enough wealth to be insulated enough from the consequences of their stupidity. The only victims of their stupidity are the less fortunate gays who have to deal with the fall out of their retardation. No one suffers from from "pink news twitter gays" than just regular gays. We sort of see them as borderline evil, with no compassion, humanity or long term understanding of their beliefs or actions.

Katie Herzog can be very funny, but IMO is a contrarian who is desperate to be Not Like Other Women. So she will on one hand call out the gender mob, but then rip people on twitter for "misgendering."

There's a certain arrogance that I find off-putting, like she has the right to tell us that (for instance) biology doesn't matter, and imply that we are idiots and bigots for thinking it does, but then will herself bring up instances in which biology matters - so one rule for me and another for thee?

I don't think she's evil or anything close, but I don't get the fandom. She is not a good journalist IMO, more of a polemicist, but then, in US media, that's pretty much always the case.

I have watched Tim Dillon's videos and I thought they were hilarious. The video where he lampooned Ghislaine Maxwell was hysterical - the first time I watched it, I was falling over laughing for 30 minutes straight.

By the way, is Tim Dillon gay/bi? I’d say he’s straight, but he’s hilarious regardless of his orientation.

Tim is gay. Maybe I should have made it clear that Tim and Katie are gay and lesbian, respictively.

I had no idea.

EDIT: looked it up, yeah he’s gay. I know I shouldn’t care if other people are gay, but let’s face it, if it’s someone I like, it’s always a good thing.
