No. BC, and Vancouver in particular, are pretty fucking woke. Not all of Canada is like this. All you have to do is step outside of the big cities, just like the United States. I've lived extensively in both countries. I'll take Canada over the US any day.

In the U.S., this woke stuff is still prevalent even outside the big cities. Only the most backwater right-wingers are against it vocally (everyone else is shut down or afraid to speak up). Cool to hear there's a bit of sanity in Canada. Yeah, shit is crazy in the U.S., but at least we don't have laws like this.

I'm afraid similar laws will start appearing with the passage of the Equality Act. It's scary to think about.

They might, but the Equality Act hasn't passed yet. I wouldn't give up hope. There's a lot more pushback than I expected. It's all conservative, but I'll take what I can get.
