you're kidding me. Every single Gay and Lesbian organization was run by....lesbians. These transexuals are a new thing. Did you honestly forget that it was the gay and lesbian community...and THEN all the other letters were INVITED in?

No, I am legitimately interested in learning more. Do you have any sources? Or have suggestions for where I might read or learn more about this? If not, no worries, I was just curious.

I never said otherwise, what I'm saying is, you're describing a very specific narrative of how things happened. I'm asking for more information because anyone can say X happened but without more informative sources, I have to consider what people say as just anecdotal and not confirmed to be generally true.

edit: Also, I've heard 3-4 older users here talk about how the T took over "LGBTQ+" organizations from the inside, even though many lesbians and gay men tried to stop it from happening. If they are actually wrong, I'd like to hear about it! But I really have no firsthand experience of this stuff myself, since I am relatively younger.

I mean it is the truth though. Yes there are gays and more so lesbians who said no, but there are so many LGBs who said “what is the harm?” Part of the issue is that the purpose of gay rights orgs changed and stopped focusing on gay rights even before we got important things like employment discrimination protections in the U.S.. They acted like the fight was over and assumed that greater numbers of members and allies was a better thing for our rights, and that’s not crazy in and of itself. But yes, they failed to realize that people who are not same-sex attracted, even if purported allies, have their own agenda. People have kept on saying “what’s the harm?” as the harm becomes increasingly obvious and simultaneously as we have less and less space to talk about it. These organizations are no longer about same sex rights or run by people who are primarily motivated by obtaining that, but by power hungry ideologues who desire societal control, and maybe even a little bit of revenge. While many of LGB people who wanted basic gay rights have retired from activism to live quiet lives. But this power-hungry group that remained in activism (from Millennials and older) absolutely includes actual LGB people who may or may not realize they’re stooges. And definitely have a lot of cognitive dissonance or self interest that outweighs their interest in same sex rights (your Benjamin of Pink News types).

Yes, there was a genderjacking that was largely accomplished by outside money but this could not have been accomplished by LGB people who let that happen and threw the LGB people who said “no” under the bus. That’s why even Stonewall UK right now is run by a purported lesbian even though she has entirely converted the organization to focus on gender ideology which the previous leadership was not keen on. LGB like this are TRAs themselves and they give cover to this. I don’t know what it could be about other than power and societal control and a total reworking of the fundamentals of basic structural social institutions, something gay rights orgs never really sought to accomplish.

A huge part of this was conversion of LGBT and its infrastructure from a political interest alliance focused specifically on same sex rights to a purported social club for “gender, romantic, and sexual minorities” (GRSM). Now you get in by technical membership and un falsifiable “identity”. And as you know, I’m not here to denigrate bisexuals, but the ones who have zero interest in same sex relationships but still complain about visibility and being in “straight-passing relationships” are a large part of this problem, and legitimize it. Not the kind of bisexual participants we have in here but this kind of thinking based on bored, manufactured oppression, set the pattern for the takeover IMO. Not saying bisexual people have to be in a homosexual relationship to count, just that those who have no interest in them, do not take them seriously, and do not see how gay people are not similarly situated in this respect are the type of people who the former gay rights organizations have been encouraging to drown out the rest of us and dilute our interests.

thank you for your very well thought out comment. I think another factor was that we always assumed that the word "gay" and "lesbian" were still kryptonite and everyone was homophobic to their very DNA that no matter how much they accepted us, they would always give us our little magical narnia spaces where only gays and lebsians would go and we would ever have to protect these places because they were considered radioactive to everyone else. I dont think gays and lesbians from the past could even conceive of the hell of multiple different sexualities fighting over the word gay and lesbian, appropriating our flag...sexualities or anything of the sort. It wouldnt even occur within their minds that anyone would even want to associate with us because they never thought heterosexuals would fully see us as normal human beings. So when the stigma of being homosexual was slowly diminished, we didnt understand that the bisexuals who would just experiment with us suddenly wanted to appropriate "our things" and want their own agenda...which was "we're sorry we're tainted with the gay but we want to live openly as bisexuals in straight marriages but still be seen as normal". Which, i understand but it doesnt really seem like a real priority for gays and lesbians. Their entire movement seems to be "i want to be in a heterosexual marriage but for everyone to know i have a same sex attraction and want no stigma attached to this". Gays/Lesbians are "stuck" on homosexual and its their entire humanity at stake...and whats at stake for bisexuals seem to be indulging their same sex attraction every once in a while as i see it.
