The problem comes from the erosion of language and the concepts that we use to describe sex and sexuality.

Chiefly, since a lot of morons believe the word 'woman' just means whatever the user wants it to mean (a la Humpty Dumpty) they can get away with being 'straight' because they're still attracted to 'women' even if those 'women' have a beard and a penis.

Which I'm not disagreeing with, but is there a parallel problem--or one that is a result of--that perhaps there isn't enough language? Trans women are a relatively recent thing, at least in any such numbers that there are now men out there attracted to trans women, especially those that retain their penis. Do we need a new word for that? Especially since it's starting to become a relatively popular thing.

Is the language being eroded, in part, because we've got these new phenomena we're trying to stuff into an old, tired framework?
