Martina has gone back and forth on standing up for women and women's sports against the gender lobby. I understand why - she still wants to make money.

But the compromise proposal regarding transgenders in women's athletics that she and other prominent female athletes proposed would have damaged non-elite women's athletics. She got some justifiable flack for that.

She's still too much of a Democratic true believer to realize that the Democrats are very deliberately selling women and gay men out through the Equality Act: she seems to have thought that the Democrats would compromise or amend the bill or something, but instead the Democrats are steamrolling the Equality Act through Congress, and women and gay men are going to pay with our rights.
