This is great!! Thank you for sharing. Lesbian and Gay News, I don't think I have heard of this outlet before. It is so refreshing to see this kind of content in a news outlet, even a small one. Thank you. :)

It feels really weird and surreal to hear people in the older generation saying stuff like this, like the clock has been turned back:

For Lucy, such intolerance is reminiscent of the prejudice of earlier decades:

“As a black lesbian who grew up in the 80s, our community were fighting for basic human rights, to be told in 2020 that I was no longer allowed to only want to date females, is beyond disturbing.”

And it's like-- entire news outlets, everything, that claims to represent us, are transing the community, from the inside...

Once one might have expected the lesbian and gay press to be outraged by the sexual harassment of lesbians. But instead, from Autostraddle to Allure lesbians are advised to get over their inconvenient dislike of penis. Helpful articles such as “How to Have Lesbian Sex With a Trans Woman” and “Sex With Trans Women 101: A Guide for Queer Cis Women” give tips on dealing with ‘girl dick.’

Omg. This is so real:

Lesbians looking for love online face a stark choice; they can step into the rainbow closet of ‘girl dick’ and ‘transbians’ or close the door on the online world.

Like, damn. It is so nice to actually hear a publication give voice to my experiences or ones that I can relate to.

Hey Reluctant, if you've had an experience like the ones in the article, you could probably contact the author. Maybe she's still collecting stories?

Oh I haven't tried the dating apps. I have met a few "transbians" IRL though, one of whom spewed sexist stereotypes. Thanks for the suggestion though, that's a good idea :) maybe if they ask for other types of stories..
