Thank goodness I'm a black lesbian. This is one of the only perks I have... never coming across larping black men in my dating pool.

This is great!! Thank you for sharing. Lesbian and Gay News, I don't think I have heard of this outlet before. It is so refreshing to see this kind of content in a news outlet, even a small one. Thank you. :)

It feels really weird and surreal to hear people in the older generation saying stuff like this, like the clock has been turned back:

For Lucy, such intolerance is reminiscent of the prejudice of earlier decades:

“As a black lesbian who grew up in the 80s, our community were fighting for basic human rights, to be told in 2020 that I was no longer allowed to only want to date females, is beyond disturbing.”

And it's like-- entire news outlets, everything, that claims to represent us, are transing the community, from the inside...

Once one might have expected the lesbian and gay press to be outraged by the sexual harassment of lesbians. But instead, from Autostraddle to Allure lesbians are advised to get over their inconvenient dislike of penis. Helpful articles such as “How to Have Lesbian Sex With a Trans Woman” and “Sex With Trans Women 101: A Guide for Queer Cis Women” give tips on dealing with ‘girl dick.’

Omg. This is so real:

Lesbians looking for love online face a stark choice; they can step into the rainbow closet of ‘girl dick’ and ‘transbians’ or close the door on the online world.

Like, damn. It is so nice to actually hear a publication give voice to my experiences or ones that I can relate to.

Hey Reluctant, if you've had an experience like the ones in the article, you could probably contact the author. Maybe she's still collecting stories?

Oh I haven't tried the dating apps. I have met a few "transbians" IRL though, one of whom spewed sexist stereotypes. Thanks for the suggestion though, that's a good idea :) maybe if they ask for other types of stories..

It's a brand new site! You should share it around!

“Within days of me editing my profile I received a message from Hinge to say that I had been permanently banned from the app. I immediately contacted Hinge to ask why they had taken this action, and was quickly informed it was because I had breached their terms and conditions in respect to ‘offensive content’. I instantly knew it was due to my stating that I was only interested in females. There was absolutely nothing inappropriate on my profile that could be deemed ‘offensive’, apart from my comment about only wanting to meet females.”

Fuck this, and fuck Hinge. How disgustingly homophobic of them.

I don't know what trans people expect to gain with all this reporting and bullying.

It's not going to make people want to have sex with them, you can have all the woke articles, twitter posts and dating app powers in the world and you're still not going to get lesbians to fuck you.

It's funny how they repeatedly ignore the several studies....over periods of time that indicate that gay people do not want to date trans people, it has not and will not change.

I think it's becoming more and more clear that TRAs are creating an illusion of consensus on apps and sites like Reddit simply by maneuvering themselves into positions where they can seize authority. It's likely that a majority of LGB still don't want to date trans women or trans men, but this majority opinion is suppressed by undemocratic authority. Look at subreddits like r/ainbow that used to have high participation rates on threads. Now, only trans-related posts get any attention.

The problem is compounded by the disproportionate number of TRAs who are involved in software coding and other jobs in tech.

This is wild stuff that's happening now, stranger than fiction. If someone on here has a background in investigative journalism this would be something to study
