I'm so mad. I used to meow at people as a teen (to confuse them) I have pairs of cat ears (mostly Halloween related ok) I just love anime (especially ones with cute cats and other animals) but DAMN IT LISTEN HERE I'M NOT A FUCKING CAT!! I'm a bi woman with bad fashion sense.

Now people probably think I'm one of these asshole tranime larpers. Nope, I'm just tall with big feet and I hate wearing makeup except you guessed it, on Halloween. I have Sailor Moon shirts and dressed as human Luna one year but it is for fun. It has nothing to do with being female or being bisexual! I just love the characters and that is fine. These people just need to realize the difference between fantasy and reality.

I did indulge in slash fiction as a kid and it did help me come to terms with my own sexuality. Maybe some of these folks just got it twisted? Anyone read Harry Potter, Digimon or Sailor Moon slash? It is probably much different than it was when I read it 20 years ago.

Fantasy can help you understand yourself but it isn't a great substitute for real relationships or identities. It should be a safe thing you do in private or with an enthusiastic person or group not something you force strangers to indulge in.

Same. I am likely either asexual or a low libido lesbian, and everything I've seen regarding the asexual community and LGBTABCWTF+ community in general has made me think that a large majority are either mentally unstable or have very fucked up ideas about sex and sexuality.
