Yeah, why does "transphobe!" seem to pack more punch than "homophobe!"?

To be clear, I don't think we should be sinking to their level or resorting to their tactics. I think that labeling everyone who disagrees with you as a bigot is lazy and also fundamentally harmful to discourse.

But I have wondered: why does it seem to work for them, but not for us?

My point wasn't to call each homophobe trash who should be fired and doesn't deserve to live - that was the opposite. But why is it that they come after people for the slightest disagreement or questioning but they don't seem to be bothered by homophobia? I'm just wondering.

Also I don't think anyone who says the slightest offensive thing about gay people should be called a phobe. For example I said something on the internet about my friends asking me what traits I find attractive in people (I'm bi) and they called my friend a phobe. Why?!? And also people are not properly educated and often they don't know any better and that's why they have us - their gay friends.

But the meme is about double standards in the "LGB"T community. I saw a post that litteraly went "there are reasons to be homophobic but there are non to be transphobic" what the fuck?!? What reasons are there to be homophobic?
