Yes because periods are so dramatic and emotional for every woman it becomes a theatre performance every month. Showing how their knowledge of periods are limited to bad tv where the heroine cries in a pint of ice cream.

Right?! Also as far as I am aware, the whole concept of periods "syncing up" has dubious evidence even among real women... someone feel free to correct me, but it seems much more entrenched in culture than in biological reality.

It’s a combination of the facts that:

A. People look for patterns even when they don’t exist B. Cycles don’t last the same amount of time for every woman and they aren’t always 28 days. There’s bound to be occasional overlap.
