I didn't mean to imply that a non-prefered partner would provide the same amount of gratification as a preferred one. Merely, as of historical record, that people seemed to have engaged with non-preferred partners, behaviorally. Again, discerning lust from historical, behavioral accounts is not something one can readily do.
