I guess most of us here don't fit society's most rigid views of gender roles.

Gays and lesbians as adults do tend to have a mild amount of gender nonconformity vs their heterosexual peers, yes. But that's not to say there isn't variability in straight people, either, because there's tons of it.

The things that actually comprise gender, not gender-identity in trans nomenclature, are linked to sex, and they are distributed around sex. Such that you can get a man who is higher in big five trait agreeableness than the average woman, but that is uncommon.

Why we have to make up a bunch of new labels for phenomena that have existed for ages... it's look-at-me-ism.

That's part of my point! It isn't just us LGB, many (or maybe most?) straight people out there also don't fit these rigid gender roles. It isn't easy to fit ideals.
