Here’s what I don’t get: why trans people think spaces that aren’t for them need to bend over backwards for them to the point those spaces no longer represent the intended group.

I just started going to a group for people learning Italian. The local German learning group doesn’t barge in and demand we speak German because they aren’t included by Italian language learning. Christians don’t turn up at my synagogue and demand we practice more “inclusively” because they’re being excluded. Basketball players don’t come to the local soccer league and insist we change how we play to fit them in. Literally all of these scenarios would universally be mocked and rightfully pilloried as rude, unrealistic, and insane.

So, why on earth do trans people get a pass to behave similarly to LGB groups and sex-specific groups?

Because they were the ones who got us our rights in the first place /s
