Seriously, why haven't TRAs fucked off to form their own super special genderal spaces yet? If gender feelings and having a million labels for every little experience are so important then what's stopping them? We already have a split between sexual and romantic orientation, just mutilate some more Greek/Latin and get it over with.

Because it's not about having a community for themselves, the entire trans ideology is about getting validation from others - even if it means demanding for it. It's not about equality, but about being more important than everyone else. I definitely see crossover with NPD.

Apparently doctors have found a new type of personality disorder popping up called Tendency for Interpersonal Victimhood. It's where a person perceives themselves as a victim in response to interactions they don't like, and therefore see themselves above morality and behave inappropriately to get revenge/get what they believe is theirs. https://www.psypost.org/2020/12/researchers-identify-a-new-personality-construct-that-describes-the-tendency-to-see-oneself-as-a-victim-58753

There was a good Reddit comment from a Psych PhD who specializes in NPD that isn't convinced that it's meaningfully different from "vulnerable narcissism". She thinks the fact that the authors never mention vulnerable narcissism means this research isn't as original as the authors would have you believe.

I agree with the described comment. It's not new and the creation of a new framing of it is hilariously ironic, given that re-framing things constantly and pretending they're new is one of the symptoms of the TRA version of NPD.

Is reinvention another way of getting attention? Like "coming out" with a fresh set of nouns and adjectives over and over again, or generating another reason to control conversations and correct people.

Seems entirely plausible that it would be. If you are desperate to be "unique" this would be a virtually necessary strategy.
