I love how they keep trying to change the meaning of words whose meanings are clearly indicated by roots of those words.

If they redefine everything, then the sentence "Lesbians love having sex with men and gay men love having sex with women" can become true.

The whole 'genital preference' thing is something that trans people has forced on lgb people, and now they have the gall to whine about it. It used to be that you as a lesbian could say, I'm only into women, and this was perhaps not always respected but at least seen a perfectly good reason to reject someone. And back then, most trans were homosexual anyways. Now most are heterosexual, and you can't reject a transwoman for being male, because 'some women have penises uwu' so you have to reject only the male genitalia and 'prefer' the female, which then became something to 'examine' because end game for these straight fetischists was never for people to be able to use that 'genital preference' excuse anyways.

Like this sub is called lgb drop the t, but actually, it feels more like t dropped us first, since sexual orientation is where the transgender illusion shatters, no matter how well they pass otherwise, or how much people play along in everyday life. And somehow it became our duty to make sure it doesn't, to accept straight/bi women as lesbians, to say we're bi or queer when our lesbian partners come out as trans men. Like who's erasing who here? As long as lgb transpeople play along with this, I see no reason for lgb to strand with t at all. (Sunday morning rant, sorry.)

This is EXACTLY what I've been thinking! That "trans" forever demanding that we find them sexually-attractive seems to be about more than just getting laid.

It's that this is the acid test, if you will, of whether they are truly perceived as the opposite sex. Because in most other areas, either one's sex doesn't really matter, or at least people can lie about how they see you. But sexual attraction is, first and foremost, a response to biological sex. And the parts of us that govern it-- our reptilian brain and genitals-- can't lie. It's the final exam for "trans" and their genderist ideology... and none of them ever pass it. For the simple reason that human psychology doesn't work that way.

Their solution, at least so far, is-- despite having missed every single question-- to coerce us into giving them an A+ anyway. I hope that, sometime soon, we'll all be free to award them the big fat F that they so richly deserve.

That's straight on point with everything that's happening.

Most of you have never met a trans person yet you all make it sound as if standing outside your house is every trans person on the planet and they all want to sleep with you.

When half the time the follow up question after you mention your sexual orientation is "would you ever date a trans person?" it's a bit hard not to get irritated with the constant attempts to pressure you to be open to sleeping with them, don't you think?

Especially since this isn't expected of straight people. They don't need to mention they're straight, and when they do (for whatever odd reason), they aren't immediately asked if they would date a trans person.

Seriously, why haven't TRAs fucked off to form their own super special genderal spaces yet? If gender feelings and having a million labels for every little experience are so important then what's stopping them? We already have a split between sexual and romantic orientation, just mutilate some more Greek/Latin and get it over with.

Because it's not about having a community for themselves, the entire trans ideology is about getting validation from others - even if it means demanding for it. It's not about equality, but about being more important than everyone else. I definitely see crossover with NPD.

Apparently doctors have found a new type of personality disorder popping up called Tendency for Interpersonal Victimhood. It's where a person perceives themselves as a victim in response to interactions they don't like, and therefore see themselves above morality and behave inappropriately to get revenge/get what they believe is theirs. https://www.psypost.org/2020/12/researchers-identify-a-new-personality-construct-that-describes-the-tendency-to-see-oneself-as-a-victim-58753

There was a good Reddit comment from a Psych PhD who specializes in NPD that isn't convinced that it's meaningfully different from "vulnerable narcissism". She thinks the fact that the authors never mention vulnerable narcissism means this research isn't as original as the authors would have you believe.

I agree with the described comment. It's not new and the creation of a new framing of it is hilariously ironic, given that re-framing things constantly and pretending they're new is one of the symptoms of the TRA version of NPD.

Is reinvention another way of getting attention? Like "coming out" with a fresh set of nouns and adjectives over and over again, or generating another reason to control conversations and correct people.

Seems entirely plausible that it would be. If you are desperate to be "unique" this would be a virtually necessary strategy.

I love how they assume that we don’t know trans people all the time, and that’s why we’re critical of their ideology. No, it’s exactly because I’ve had the misfortune of knowing so many trans people that I came around to questioning the TRA orthodoxy in the first place. People who don’t know trans IRL are more likely to support them because they think they’re just trying to live their lives like LGB people. They’re not.

As someone who doesn't know any trans people in real life I would like to comfort you with the information that I am 100% not on board with their shit.

Totally agree. While I’ve known a couple of nice stable trans people, most of them have been mildly to extremely awful, exhibiting everything from narcissism to sociopathy and in one case put in prison for murdering a mentally ill young gay man. Nothing about the current crop of TRAs has given me any reason to change my views about them.

[–]ImNOTRobertPaulson 6 insightful - 4 fun6 insightful - 3 fun7 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

I feel like there are several things that TRAs will call people transphobic for saying, regardless of context or intent.

With that in mind, fair is fair. If someone talks seriously about genital preferences, they are automatically a homophobe. Man, life is so much easier if I turn off my critical thinking skills and just naturally assume people are bad!

These people really can't fucking conceive of the fact that some people have sexual attraction... like they clearly have no introspective ability. It's the only reason left that explains to me why they are so fucking dense when it comes to understanding sexual attraction...

[–]MiaXiang 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

They conceive of it perfectly fine. They're just trying to gaslight themselves into people's pants.

They will certainly never be giving PUAs any competition.
