Given that "different views" is often the same vagueness used to defend things like "alternative facts" I couldn't comment without examples, but we don't need to get into that here. But, I agree that hivemind is never a good thing. I can give an example: I had to correct some other people's statements this last week because they assumed something more negative (that would support our exasperated opinions here) was being said than was actually the case, if they had just fully reviewed what they were sharing before sharing it.
