Do... do they think that straight guys can't do cute things for their gf's and, you know, treat them with love and respect? Like, what about crossdressing suddenly makes them more capable of doing these things? Unless it's a fetish...

This seems like the opposite version of the fujoshi FtM.

Straight relationships are heavy with societal rules and stereotypes about male and female roles. For fujoshi, this means that even though they're straight women, they like reading about gay relationships because they're more equal and thus more ideal. Recently it seems like some fujoshi have taken it further and decided that this interests towards fictional gay relationships means they're actually gay men themselves, leading to the fujoshi FtM.

It's kinda sad that they don't realize a relationship with both partners beign equal can happen with a straight couple. Homosexual couples do have the advantage of already defying heteronormativity by, well, defying heterosexuality in their relationships, so it's easier to build a relationship that can more easily avoid harmful trends and expectations, but nothing is stopping a straight couple doing the same except for peer pressure and laziness

Maybe we don't have enough representation of straight equal couples

Isn't this the whole issue with the TQ+ mindset though? It's too hard to defy male stereotypes as a man, so instead gonna say I'm something other than a man.

This seems like the opposite version of the fujoshi FtM.

The male equivalent of a fujoshi is a fudanshi. There's an article claiming that both fujoshis & fudanshis are reclaiming the word(s) to be a "postive" meaning despite the fact the word literally means "rotten, decaying and/or spoiled" woman/man...

It's astonishing. They have a distorted idea of what being a men is.

It's kinda sad honestly... they should be striving to be better men than they see around them. Instead, they seem to think that women are more emotional and more loving.
