Please don't use the term breeders.

Also just because we've got a few laws protecting us doesn't mean that peoples' minds have changed about us. People can still commit hate crimes, even if they're illegal now. Some good laws will do me if someone beats me to death for being gay. They can still fire us from jobs for being gay, provided they find another reason to do so as a cover. Gay conversion still exists and is still being used, even if it's on the downlow in some places. Adoption is still a nightmare if you're gay, not to mention that there are still many places where being gay can be punishable by death or jail time. We've achieved a lot, but we're not even close to being done.

I use the term as an obvious joke. I know it's an insulting term just like "fag" or "dyke".

You can get fired from a job for many reasons that is true. And sometimes it's the color of your skin. Even if you're white.

As for gay conversion, meh... I have not met anyone who was forced into it. I think some get talked into it and go into it and then go straight and stay straight. If there's a benefit in their cases, well, good for them.

But, overall, we're in a much better shape than decades ago. Claiming that we suffer more from stress than straight people is I believe idiotic. Married straight folks with kids are in a constant state of stress.
