But either way, I'd still be interested in the kind of group that you've outlined here. Particularly if it has a well-developed chat component, so that we can communicate directly in real time, rather than just through posts/comments. And is publicized/presented in a manner that makes its intent clear, to keep the light-n-fluffy hugboxers away.

Much as I value a refuge like this, to commiserate and get my snark on, I increasingly feel the need to, yanno, actually do something. Especially with a new and (one hopes!) dramatically-different presidential administration about to take power here in the U.S. We need to get in on the ground floor with them, as far as trans/genderist/LGB-related policy goes. Can't let the T set the agenda.
