Child exploitation truly is mainstream now. Also YouTube families not allowing their kids any privacy to varying degrees of horrifying. And this all followed TV show reality star kids. It was always a red flag to me when someone was obsessed with consuming that stuff. In doing so, they’re failing to see the personhood of those kids who do not have the capacity to give up their privacy and childhoods like that. This is way worse than child actors who are at least playing characters and not having their own lives scrutinized as much when they are tiny children. These fan drones just think of them as characters though. They never think about the consequences or the parents’ motivations.

And I did not know about Jazz Jennings specifically until I hit peak trans. And I didn’t find out until months after that Jazz got famous from having a Reality TV Show for years. That right there was grooming the public. I had no idea about it but I don’t watch a lot of TV compared to most.

To read fluff pieces about Jazz’s botched genital surgeries is truly unreal. Like they’re reporting the most horrifying information but in the most Pollyanna/dismissively cheerful way. What a dystopia we live in.

As an aside: That’s why we need to not use bullshit language like bottom and top surgery or even facial feminization surgery. It’s genital surgery, elective double mastectomies, breast implants, cosmetic surgery, facial fillers, lip injections, tracheal shaves, jaw shaving, nose jobs, hair transplants, cheek implants, brow shaves, brow lifts, vocal chord surgery, etc.

I hate when people show pictures of males who got massive amounts of cosmetic surgery to resemble women and the after pictures are used to indicate that they really are women. People need to know what goes into this. Like why aren’t they getting the Heidi Montag treatment who was ridiculed for getting even less plastic surgery? And she was at least honest about it!
