While a tucute might say something like "I identify as a man/woman, therefore I am a man/woman and thus part of your dating pool!", truscum will focus on superficiality like hormones and surgeries, e.g. "Gay men date and have sex with transmen all the time, same with lesbians and transwomen! Take a look at these heavily-photoshopped pictures of post-op transgender people and tell me they are not desirable!" Neither side ultimately acknowledges the reality of exclusive same-sex attraction.
