This is just manipulative. Speaking basic biological truths in a gentle but firm manner shouldn't cause someone to feel suicidal. If it does, they ought to seek help.

I mean, did we ever claim that statements we felt to be misguided and erroneous (yet dealt out calmly and without vitriol) - such as "gay marriage isn't really marriage" or "women choose to be with women because they've had bad experiences with men" - were causing us to feel suicidal? Did we? I don't think so. Statements that would be more likely to cause suicidal feelings sound more like, "You're worthless, you f****t, come back here and we'll kill you."

Exactly. It's pure emotional blackmail and straight out the narcissistic abuser's playbook.
