Oh absolutely, your goal is noble. In the UK at least trans people are at least twice to five times less likely to be murdered than anyone else.

Edit: Half to one fifth as likely to be murdered as everyone else. 'Twice less likely' is meaningless.

A women's group in the UK crunched the numbers: born-as male-transgenders in the UK are more likely to be murderers than murdered.

Upon presenting them this information, TRA's will probably claim that hate crimes are nonexistent in the UK against homosexuals, nor has one ever occurred, despite the fact that hate crimes against LGB people are shockingly common in the UK.
