OT but why do the 90's feel simultaneously like "only 10 years ago" but also like "30 years ago"? I feel like I'm in a time-warp. Everything 90's feels 10 years ago. Everything 80's feels 20 years ago. Is anyone else having this feeling?

Lol same. I heard some well-known person on the radio be like "..the 1970s-- 30 years ago or so" and I was like LOL same

I find that it's a lot easier to blank out decades that can't be referred to as 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s etc. That'll probably end with the 20s though. It's goes to show how important language labels are for conceptualizing things like spans of time in a tangible way. 1900-1919 are kinda a blur historically even with WW1 and the Titanic.

Interesting, I hadn't thought about it that way before.

A lot of styles and fashions seemed to have frozen in the 90s (compared to the pace of change in preceding decades).

Vanity Fair had an article about it awhile back: https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2012/01/prisoners-of-style-201201
