You aren’t the only one who gets pretty upset by this. I’ve always wanted to be a mother. One of the hardest things I had to come to terms with about being a lesbian is that I’d never be able to have biological children with my partner. I’m nearly thirty and it still makes me really sad. I don’t suppose it’s one of those things you ever stop being disappointed about.

Straight couples pretending they’re gay without some of the tougher aspects can go step on LEGOs.

I've heard of rare same-sex couples using a brother's sperm or sister's eggs donation to make the kid genetically both theirs. It sounds weird, but is a possible option.
