This accidentally ventures close to the unspeakable truth: many MtFs transition because they desperately wish to be lesbians, and many FtMs transition because they desperately wish to be gay men. "Gaygender" is unwitting code for autohomoeroticism, and "lesbiangender" for the subset of AGP that r/itsafetish used to call autosapphoeroticism.

I thought women didn’t have AGP. Is it because of Yaoi? And are there that many? I thought women transitioned to be treated with respect.

Yes, yaoi for women. I am guessing there is a larger proportion of men who transition because they fetishize lesbians, than women who transition because they fetishize lesbians-- just because like you said, some women / young girls do see how the whole "womanhood" sucks and want out.

There's a name for the women's version that Blanchard had, it's like autoandrophilia or something, I can't remember off the top of my head but I find an article if you're curious.

edit: Also I like your username lol.

Yeah, I’d like that. Thank you.

Here is the article I was reading. "autohomoerotic" was what Blanchard called the female equivalents-- sort of. https://quillette.com/2019/11/06/what-is-autogynephilia-an-interview-with-dr-ray-blanchard/

He clarifies the difference between male autogynephilia and female autohomoeroticism:

Autogynephilic (male) gender dysphorics are attracted to the idea of having a woman’s body; autohomoerotic (female) gender dysphorics are attracted to the idea of participating in gay male sex. For autogynephiles, becoming a lesbian woman is a secondary goal—the logical consequence of being attracted to women and wanting to become a woman. For autohomoerotics, becoming a gay man appears to be the primary goal or very close to it.

I am not aware of there being evidence to distinguish these terms per se, but I think he is just trying to be accurate to what he disturbed. This is part of why he distinguishes them:

There are also striking differences in developmental history. Many autogynephilic trans people report a period in their lives, usually during puberty, when they put on women’s undergarments (often “borrowed” from their mothers or sisters) and masturbated to orgasm. In contrast, self-reports of masturbating to orgasm in men’s underwear are missing in the histories of autohomoerotic females.

They wouldn't have Autogynephilia (AGP: love of being a woman in a sexual way) but Autoandrophilia (love of being a man in a sexual way). So AAP (?) I believe the pop-culture term tho is Fujoshi.

I think you are right in how you interpreted that, but it looks like Blanchard is arguing that autoandrophilia is not really a thing in the same way, because the qualities of it (fetishization of homosexuals of the opposite sex) are quite different for men vs. woman. Although arguably he could be splitting hairs. I replied to another comment about his term for it, "autoeroticism", being the female version.

I generally agree, I believe much of the "fujoshi" (for lack of a better term) group is motivated more by a desire for gay men than a desire to be a gay man. Autogynephilia would be the desire to be a woman for sexual gratification (and so autoandrophilia the desire to be a man sexually).
