You know why I don't like the whole forced minority thing; because it's a trope. It's always a trans woman who's parents disowned her, the gay guy who had a homophobic father, the lesbian who was bullied by a group of mean girls at school. But all of that literally will have nothing to do with the plot of the story. Why do we need to know the life history of a trans woman's transition into a woman in a movie about bank robbers and high speed car chase? What does being raised by a homophobic parent have to deal with space aliens invading the planet? I really wish creators would stop shoehorning minorities in for the sole propose of virtue signalling.
