I have some sympathy for feeling left out, but I think this person needed a strong dose of reality.

What get's me cross-eyed is her 'friend'. What kind of sadist is he to drag her along and even encourage her when it must've been clear that this wasn't going to go well?

If he said it wouldn't end well, he'd end up "cancelled" by the group for knowingly associating with twansphobes.

I know a guy like this and he is an actual sadist. He sets up really uncomfortable situations for people and watches and laughs.

I'd say that the friend is just as delusional as she is. Maybe he is one of those pansexual-types who think that all gay men and straight women are attracted to any person who uses male pronouns. Or maybe he is a gay man who claims to be inclusive to trans people but isn't really, and was just not that girl's type so h never had to confront his hypocrisy.
