Everyone gets a tax credit to spend on healthcare, and health insurance companies will be owned by their members.

Got it, so the person who has cancer and can't work gets the same tax credit as the healthy person that only needs flu shots. Sounds fair and not broken at all /s

Where did I say they get the same tax credit?

And if your treatment costs more than what you made, what are you gonna do? If you're disabled and can't work, what do you do?

They're refundable tax credits. You can look it up for more precise information, but basically you can cash them in regardless of how much you make.

No solution is fair. This solution is the most fair I have ever heard. What exactly is your problem with it? You don't pay more for insurance once you get cancer, the point of insurance is that it covers your medical expenses for a flat fee. Second, both people getting the same tax credit is the definition of fair. Third, it can only be spent on insurance, you don't get a cash payment that is supposed to go to healthcare but the "poor" person ends up spending on heroin while society is still left with a population of uninsured people demanding "compassion" a la more healthcare welfare.

No one chooses to have cancer.

Ok, how does that in any way support your other statement?
