I feel the same way, but I can't figure out whether it's because the Internet got worse or because life is just less interesting once you're out of your twenties.

There's a bazillion things to learn. Pick any course from this page.

Those free courses are almost always undergraduate level and as such a complete waste of time.

Also, just because I could learn the name of every plant in existence, doesn't mean I care one bit about that.

"You can't teach an old dog new tricks" is one of the most depressing sayings, because it suggests a kind of arrogance towards even attempting to learn something, especially in a domain in which they presumably want to accomplish something.

It's like people want to build a nuclear reactor, but they don't want to learn about the atom.
