I wish I could turn off the themes.

Go to "preferences", scroll down to "display options", and uncheck "allow subs to show me custom themes."

I like regular up/down arrows.

SaidIt doesn't have a down-vote feature. There's an insightful vote, represented by a light-bulb, and a fun vote, represented by a smiley-face, in the default theme. The names pretty much explain what they're for.

Thank you. I feel dumb for not seeing that preference setting.

Insightful / lightbulb / fun - Now I get it. Thanks for the clarification.

Looking forward to using this site regularly.

I think they are both upvote buttons technically. There is no downvote.

no downvote: no brigading

brigading

Do you ever wonder why 'they' settled on brigading instead of any of the other military unit sizes? Why not battalioning, or armying? "Ima pm 6 of my buddies and squad you, mofo!"

I hadn't, but now I am. Hmm. Battalioning sounds quite epic. Detatchmenting a little uncommited.

Thanks. Here's a little more about the new usage for the word.
