First time I have had this combo for breakfast: fried plantain, fried egg, parched corn, and diluted orange juice. And it might be the last time I eat this combo, unless I can make the parched corn easier to chew.

I have heard the same, and it seemed that I was chewing up an occasional crystal of sugar in the fried plantain.
