The trouble with this "bleeding" is no one takes an interest in where the blood is coming from.

A period isn't like opening a vein, it is womb lining breaking down and getting cleaned out.

Women not having periods will not have that womb lining so if they are bleeding it is more likely to be haemorrhaging.

Post menopausal women still have a uterine lining they can shed.
