Yeah that has always struck me as bizarre, statins don't lower mortality rates, why take them to get a number lower that doesn't have actual results.

I noticed accidentally that the MSM supplement I take lowers cholesterol, not that it does anything either, but it's a side effect free way to accomplish the same thing.
