But is it it really accurate to characterize a human zygote/embryo/fetus as a parasite and to imply that all such organisms are parasites?

I know that different dictionaries give different definitions. But the definition of parasite that I always heard says/said it's a organism that lives within or off another, depriving the host of nutrients or resources at the expense of the host, without giving anything back.

I will say, through my reproductive career, that I was focused on one thing, and that was not being a handmaid.

Handmaid to whom/what?

Well, it certainly isn't symbiotic. At best, even normally, it requires a lot of physical shit, involving the actual birth process. I always thought that if I were trapped in that situation, that the birth would be literally like getting raped inside out.
